What are the Tower Meters?
In newsletters and emails you will often see reference to tower meters being turned on and off. The tower meters mentioned are the sprinkler meters. These meters are turned on and off throughout the year by our property management when there is heavy rainfall or to winterize the lines. Control of the sprinkler towers also assist the community to not exceed the budget set for water in the neighborhood.
Why are the sprinkler towers turned off by the POA?
Since water is paid for in HOA dues irrigation lines are turned off by the POA during rainy weather/winter seasons to conserve water cost.
Is there recycling pickup in town?
The city has discontinued recycling in 2020 due to failed negotiations with its recycling partner. The city is still looking for another recycling partner as of 2021. Recycling Proposals being reviewed by city
Optionally there is a private recycling company that you can sign up for on your own. CRG Recycling.
How are tree limbs and other bulk waste picked up?
Limbs and other bulk waste can be scheduled for pick up with the city Public Works dept at 318-673-6300 City of Shreveport Public Works
How do I get a new Trash can or replace a damaged trash can?
If your can has damage to the lid, wheels, and/or lifter bar you can call 318-673-6300 to get these parts replaced. There is no fee to replace and/or repair a damaged can. City of Shreveport Public Works
What contributes to rising water/sewage charges in HOA Dues?
The City of Shreveport has set an annual increase for water & sewage till 2022. You can find the rate increase schedule here.
Leaky/broken irrigation. Please report all suspected sprinkler leaks in the community to Haven Property Manager.
Leaky faucets and constant running toilets. Please address these at your own cost. If your home was purchased with a home warranty these type of fixes may be covered.
Running sprinkler systems during rainfall. Please adjust your sprinkler system or install a rain sensor so your sprinkler system does not run during or immediately after rainfall. Example of rain sensors.
